About Me

Even as a child I was fascinated by images from days long gone; mysterious and medieval paintings in gloomy old churches, with brilliant, golden backgrounds, drawing my attention and enchanting me.

I feel now as I did then. I wonder, "When were they painted?" "What do they mean?" "Who created them, and for what purpose?"

My curiosity piqued, I opened the bottomless chest of stories that is our history. I realized that the present is but only a moment in a history that consists of an infinite number of moments. From the inexhaustible treasure trove of stories, I seek to bring the events of the past into the present.

As your tour guide, I want to share these treasures of the past with you. I want to entertain you and stimulate your mind. Knowledge of our history enriches our daily lives and reveals new historical connections. I want to give both locals and visitors from other regions and countries the opportunity to explore our cultural heritage.

I have a particular fondness for art history, the early modern era, and the worldview held by those in the Middle Ages. I am also highly interested in the daily lives of people from these earlier times, especially those who lived in the margins of society. I like to enhance my tours with anecdotes, myths, and humorous stories. Told in this way, history is more enjoyable and easily understood.
